My little joy this week was finding some oooold over the summer emails between me and my friends dating back to junior high. It makes me miss the times when emailing was strictly for fun and sitting down to type one out actually felt like writing a modern day letter 💖
oh that's so sweet! but there is no reason to think that's only something for the past, bring it back! i recently asked a friend of mine who lives abroad if we could start communicating by email and it's been just as you said, like writing modern day letters to each other and it's lovely! thank for you sharing <3
A sorrow for me was saying goodbye to the dark winter mornings which helped me to see myself clearly as I went deep inside myself and saw myself clearly in the dark. I journaled through the darkness and it helped me realize that I didn’t need the light to see!! A joy was emerging from this darkness with a lighter heart than when I started and embracing the light each day as spring bursts forth.
ahh, as much as i am very much a spring/summer person, i can also see this perspective. the dark mornings in the winter did feel like a really vulnerable space perfect for introspection. i'm sure you'll have more breakthroughs for the lighter parts of the year too :')
So so happy that you like Elena Ferrante’s prose. I am reading the quartet now, and, as an Italian, I find her prose to be so beautiful that I feel I could read her grocery shop list.
A little joy for me this month was getting to enjoy the warm and breezy weather of spring while cooking outside with my partner.
divine!☀️
