i never had a nintendo ds lite as a kid and i had always wanted one, especially the pink one. it was my birthday last friday and my boyfriend gifted one to me, and every time i look at it, i just can’t quite believe it’s there. i also recently bought myself a new phone decked out with a number keypad (remember those?) and there is a used nintendo 2ds xl on the way to me in the post as i write this.
i’ve fallen in to the old early 2000s techy nostalgia hole, and honestly, it’s been incredibly warming. i think my collection will stop here as i simply don’t have the money to buy every single “vintage” gadget out there (as much as i’d like to own a blackberry again just for the sake of it), but this tiny stint of collecting a couple of secondhand tech devices from my childhood sparked something within me.
